In an emergency or disaster situation, the goal of the Municipal Water
District of Orange County is to provide water to our client agencies. Since MWDOC does not operate water facilities, our normal office
procedures and programs, with the exception of finance functions, may be
pre-empted to provide assistance to water agencies in Orange County.
At the discretion of the General Manager or Assistant General Manager, MWDOC
staff may be assigned to many different tasks. Some of our employees may be
assigned to work at the Water Emergency Response Organization of
Orange County (WEROC) emergency operation centers.
MWDOC and its client agencies work collaboratively to develop emergency preparedness plans that ensure water reliability during a crisis situation or disaster.
