"Smart" Timer Rebate Program: Landscape Professionals

Eligibility Guidelines:

• The new "smart" irrigation controller installation site must be in Orange County and within a participating water agency's service area. To determine if your retail water agency is participating, click here or call 1-866-846-3725.

 

• The new "smart" irrigation controller installation site must be a homeowners association, park, commercial building, or other commercial, industrial, or institutional location with a minimum of 1,200 square feet of irrigated landscape.

 

• To be eligible for rebate, you new "smart" controller must be listed on the "Makes and Models List" of rebate-eligible controllers.

 

• You must have a working in-ground irrigation system.

 

• The rebate administrator must receive a completed application and a copy of the installation site's most recent water bill.

• At the time of the mandatory on-site inspection, all valves will be counted and an area measurement by activated valve will be conducted. (This is the basis for the rebate calculation.)

   

  • Any valves that do not activate and its associated acreage will not be counted in the rebate calculation. Any requests to re-measure the irrigated area to increase the rebate shall be paid by the site owner.
